Earlier this month, Josh’s work hosted a music night. It turns out several of Josh’s coworkers can do more than just write code.

Our Family

Well it has become time for me to join the world of blogging. I can’t promise that I will be good at it, or that I will do it regularly, but at least I’ll give it a try.

I have decided to start a blog because I think it is really sad how easy it is to lose contact with friends and family. I am hoping this is one way that all of our friends can stay in touch with us now and in the future.

To start off, I thought I would introduce our little family. Most of you should already know us, but maybe this will give you a little more info on us.

Josh and I have been married for 6 years. We met in High School when I was 15 and he was 16, but never dated until after his mission. We lived in Midvale for the first 2 1/2 years of our marriage, and then moved to Riverton, where we live today.

Josh is what I would describe as a “Web Geek” (and that is why I am not using Blogspot). He is lucky enough to have a job with this passion of his as a lead Flash Developer for a company called mediaRAIN. When he is not coding or has his face in a tech book, he loves to play the guitar or work on his Bronco (For those of you that knew him in high School, he no longer has the blue 80’s Bronco, he has since upgraded to a 1994 Bronco).

I have spent the last 7 years of my life working for KJZZ Television. I recently was able to quit my full time status, and become a part time employee. I work maybe 3 days a month and rest of the time I am home with Brooklynn. I love this new freedom I have. I am hoping to spend a lot of time this summer in my yard. I am also spending a lot of time dreaming about what colors I can paint the different walls in my house.

Brooklynn is now 15 months old. I can’t believe how fast she has grown. She is always on the go. Her most recent achievement is climbing on all the furniture. She is the sweetest little person I have ever seen, and I can’t imagine our lives without her. One of my favorite parts of the day is when Josh gets home from work and she goes running to him yelling”Da Da”.

Last but not least is the furry princess of the house, Zoey. Zoey is my cat that Josh reluctantly let me get for my birthday 3 years ago. He has never liked cats, but he is now a huge fan of “Zoeys”. To us she is a fun, loving, sweet cat, but to any visitors she is a little furosious, and feisty. We love her and she is definitely a member of our family.
